Being a Real Estate Agent Along Northern Ohio's Islands, Rivers and Shores

I am a real estate agent with Howard Hanna.  My team, The Hisey Group,  and I have the privilege of serving real estate owners and buyers along North Central Ohio's "North Coast" region.  I think being an agent in an area that didn't include amazing Lake Erie views would be difficult.

Our buyers come from such a wide demographic range of people.  I love being surprised by their current or previous carriers, their reasons for purchasing or selling and the stories they bring to the table.  Loving being with people is truly a requirement for this job.

There are so many options for both primary and secondary homes in our region.  One option are the amazing boathouses along Sandusky Bay and Lake Erie with living quarters above one or two boat bays.  When winter comes you simply use the lift to pull the boats out of the water.  No need to dry dock it in a marina for the winter.  And when you want to take a run on a warm summer evening you walk down stairs, hit the garage door clicker and pull out onto the water.  If you are a boat lover this is the ultimate dream home.

We have a large number of buyers that migrate north from hot southern states to spend the warm months on one of the Lake Erie Islands.  Yes - Ohio has islands!  You can purchase a house or condominium on multiple islands, from the extreme "full service" privacy of Rattlesnake Island to the tranquil privacy of North Bass Island (Isle Saint George).  Middle Bass Island offers a very affordable lifestyle and home pricing.  They probably have one of the best marinas on Lake Erie.

South Bass Island is the most populated island with the well known village of Put-in-Bay on it's northern side, and Ohio State's Gibraltar Island campus and research station in it's bay.  Kelleys Island has a downtown with other businesses scattered around the island.  They have the best beach on Ohio's Islands.  State parks exist on most of the islands providing plenty of opportunities for rest and relaxation.

Our shoreline communities include Sandusky, Vermilion, Huron, Avon Lake, Sheffield Lake, Lorain, Cleveland, Rocky River, Bay Village, and Lakewood.  These communities range from city environments to suburbs and quaint waterfront areas.  There are a wide variety of neighborhoods each with it's own personality.
