Howard Hanna Real Estate Services continued its rank as the 4th largest real estate organization in America in home sales for 2011. This is the third consecutive year the company has ranked in the top four.
The annual rankings are compiled by REAL Trends, the leading communications and consulting company providing trends and research to and about the residential real estate industry. The rankings are based on the number of closed transaction sides by the company in 2011.
Howard Hanna recorded 34,292 closed transaction sides in 2011 with a sales volume of $5.8 billion.
Howard Hanna also ranked #1 in the State of Ohio, twice as large as any other company within the state, and six times the size of the closest competitor in northern Ohio.
In Pennsylvania, Howard Hanna ranked #1 in the entire state and more than twice as large in home sales volume as the closest competitor in western Pennsylvania.
Howard Hanna Insurance Services ranked #1 in the country for number of home ownership policies sold in 2011. The real estate company’s number of Home Warranties sold was 3rd in all real estate companies in the U.S., Howard Hanna Mortgage Services ranked 5th in mortgage closings for 2011 and Barristers, Title and Escrow Services recorded the 6thmost title closings in the U.S.
This is yet another great accomplishment for Howard Hanna which remains a privately-held, family company that began with one office in 1957. The firm has grown to 134 offices across the four states of PA, OH, NY and WV and continues to be one of the four largest real estate companies in the United States.
