Yes it is.  In many markets it is heating up fast.  One reason is that buyers have more options to purchase a home.  Credit scores can be as low as 620.  Obviously other considerations also play a role but buyers have options that were not previously available even 12 months ago.

A second reason is the interest rates.  They are unbelievably low.  All the concerns about rates increasing have not at this writing take place.  They have actually gone down several times.  This means buyers can afford more home because they will have a lower payment.
