Real Estate and Ohio's Vacation Land

And the season continues to be surprisingly busy. We are currently working with multiple buyers and new sellers.

Our most recent listing is for a new version of the classic old Sandusky, Ohio boathouses. This home has three bedrooms, a rooftop patio with enclosed porch, an open kitchen/living room area all built around TWO boat wells! It has two full baths and one half bath. The boat well area (like a garage for boats) has decks wrapping around to 16' x 45' spaces. Just pull in and close your door. There is access to the boat well through double french doors off of the living room/kitchen and also a door at the back of the garage. Just two minutes to the Cedar Point causeway, and a short boat ride to Cedar Point Marina and the Lake Erie Islands. Call for details! Priced at $558,000. Call 1-800-974-5184 for an appointment or email me at leehisey@howardhanna.com.

USA Today's June 3-5: "Foreclosure wave looks as though it's crested." Data shows fewer bad home loans. Fewer home loans are going delinquent and new problem loans have hit three-year lows, possible signs that a five-year wave of foreclosures is starting to recede.
Also - across the U.S. suburbs are seeing fewer children in the school systems. How will this change local real estate markets?

Pictures - how you sell real estate in today's market. The days of a half dozen blurry pictures on a flier and the internet are a thing of the past. In today's market you need to have quality pictures - NOT pictures taken with a disposable camera and processed at the local drug store. You need virtual tours with panoramic views to give a perception of the space. If the virtual tour is just the website pictures wiggling with music added then the marketing effort is insufficient.

E-Newsletters - when interviewing a Realtor ask them if they have a regular newsletter emailed to a growing list of people interested in your market. Will your property be described in it? Will there be pictures? Will there be live links to the properties webpages and it's virtual tour? Don't be afraid to ask your prospective Real Estate Agent to send a copy to your email.
