Living Along Ohio's Islands, Rivers and Shores


The lovely fishing village of Vermilion, Ohio still retains much of its historic charm.  While there are several newer business areas, the communities "Downtown" is still the quaint 1837 Harbor Town Historic District. There is still some commercial fishing in Lake Erie, however Vermilion now hosts primarily sports fisherman. The waters of Lake Erie are known throughout the world as one of the most fertile fishing spots for anglers.


Vermilion boasts marinas, over 3000 boat slips, galleries, wineries, shopping, and a wide variety of dining opportunities.  Enjoy water and beach access to the Vermilion River and Lake Erie. Vermilion, Ohio is actually divided by both Lorain and Erie Counties.
