Pittsburgh, PA (June 1, 2016) – Howard Hanna Real Estate Services Chairman Howard W. “Hoddy” Hanna, III has announced that the company raised $1,033,578 last year for children’s free care funds at children’s hospitals and related programs/activities in markets where the company does business. The 2015 Howard Hanna Children’s Free Care Fundraising Campaign was the first to reach the million dollar milestone through “Chow Chow” events held by Howard Hanna offices. Events such as luncheons, bowl-a-thons, nights at the races, wine tastings, local restaurant tastings, movie previews or tailgate parties are planned and held by each office with donations from local businesses and support of the community. Howard Hanna also holds an annual company wide raffle during the second half of the year with all proceeds being used for the donations to children’s hospitals and related programs/activities.

Children’s free care funds at children’s hospitals provide medical care to all children, regardless of insurance or the family’s ability to pay, or for cutting-edge care that insurance may not cover.
Each year the Howard Hanna Children’s Free Care Fund continues to advance its mission of helping local children and families in need. The company has raised and donated more than $12 million since 1988 when the campaign began.
